Mandir reopening hooray!!

by Secretary SDJA on June 11th, 2020

Jai Jinendra!

We know you are all eager to do Dev Darshan in person at the mandir, so, following the recent government guidelines (www.gov.uk) to open places of worship by Monday June 15th, we are pleased to announce that the mandir will be OPEN from this coming Monday for PRIVATE worship only. This means that we will not be able to have any communal activities such as abhishek , puja or lectures, in order to maintain social distancing guidelines.

We have put the following measures (in line with government guidelines) in place in order for this to happen:

• The mandir has been deep cleaned twice since the lockdown.

• Please wear a mask or any suitable face covering to protect yourself and your saadharmis.

• Please wash your hands when you come in and do not touch anything unnecessary.

• There will be a strict one way system to be followed. Please come in from the usual side doors and leave from the prayer hall double doors.

• Stand/sit only where markers are placed.

• Prayer mats, prayer books etc will not be available for use to reduce the risk of contamination.

• Please restrict your individual, silent prayers to TEN MINUTES ONLY, as there will be a restricted maximum of fifteen persons at a time.

• Please do not congregate in the lobby or outside.

The timings are as follows:

Mon – Fri : 9.15 – 10.45 am (preference to the elderly)

                  6.00 – 7.30 pm (preference to families)

Sat & Sun : 8.30 – 11.00 am.

The mandir will close promptly at these times with last darshan allowed ten minutes prior to closing. So please make sure you allow ample time as there may be queues whilst waiting to enter the hall. If you are unwell or are vulnerable and are supposed to be ‘shielded’, please avoid coming to the mandir.

We thank you in advance for following the temporary measures set out above. STAY ALERT >> CONTROL THE VIRUS >> SAVE LIVES
