Diwali 2010

Diwali, Mahavir Bhagwan’s day of nirvana, falls on Saturday 6th November this year. We will be having a 5 day ‘Mahavir 5 Kalyanak’ vidhaan leading upto Saturday.

Also on this day, Sat 6 Nov, we will be having a maha abhishek of the 5 feet Mahavir Bhagwan. This year we want to make it special for all our young children, (there will be no bolis), so first abhishek will be performed by all our youngest boys, so please make a special note in your diary, and bring your children along to mark this most memorable day in our Jain calendar. We wish that at least one male member from every household will take part in the maha abhishek.

The programme for Sat 6th Nov morning is as follows:

8.30 – 9.30    Pujya Gurudevs CD pravachan

9.30-11.00    Abhishek, Puja n bhakti

11.00-11.30  Shastra swadhyay

Those of you who pledged donations to the Atma Sadhna Kendra and Sammedshikhar, thank you once again. Please inform us if you wish to pay this through the associtaion or directly. The exchange rate that will be used to transfer the money will be Indian Rupees 67.5 (based on rate of 9th Oct 2010).
