The SDJA, as the website title indicates, stands for the Shree Digamber Jain Association. You can find the history of the SDJA and how it came to be in the website subsection Temple History.
The Association is a grouping of Digamber Jains who wish to practice life in the Jain way and further their knowledge of Jain Dharma. The SDJA is based in London, United Kingdom and is composed of Jains who follow a strand of Jainism based on the exposition of Gurudevshree Kanjiswami who was based in Songadh during the 20th Century.
To further its aim the SDJA has built a multi-purpose Jinmandir in the London borough of Harrow with pratishthit pratimas of Mahavir Bhagwan and Parshvanath Bhagwan. To learn more about the mandir including opening times please visit the Temple section of the website. The SDJA has a daily program for its members involving abhishek, puja, swadhyay and listening to lectures or pravachans. The SDJA also regularly invites learned lecturers from abroad to speak at the mandir and holds special programmes during religious festivals such as Mahavir Jayanti and Das Lakshan parva. Further Details of its programmes can be found in the Info section.
The SDJA is a UK registered charity operating under the terms of its constitution. Please visit the Temple section to find out more about our mandir and the history of the SDJA.
